Room available in flat of 6 from January 2014 to July 2014, start and end date can be a bit flexible (ideal for a exchange student doing semester 2). Lovely flat over two floors with direct ground floor access. It is about 10 mins walk to the main Edinburgh University buildings and central Edinburgh Old town, a further 10 mins to the train station and main shopping street in new town. My flat mates are really nice, 3 girls and 2 boys. They all study at the University of Edinburgh, and will be in 3rd year when you arrive, they do a mix of courses; english, biology and nursing. So students studying whatever at any of the universities or collages in Edinburgh are more than welcome.
The flat is really nice and very well maintained, theres a spacious living room (with a TV and sofas), a fully equipped kitchen (I mean fully equipped, we share pans plates etc and have so much stuff some of it is still in boxes). Theres 3 bathrooms so never have any problems there. And we have direct access to a shared garden (the meadows, a large open park, is also 5 mins walk which is great in the summer and on route to uni).
The room has a double bed, wardrobe, desk, chest of drawers, small book shelves and bed side table. The window looks onto the garden and you also have a door directly into the garden.
The rent is £422 per month and you also have to pay your share of the gas, electricity bills.
You may smoke in the garden but there is absolutely no smoking in the flat.
Our landlord says he'll allow pets but need to let him know, and im sure my flatmates would love it.
And just so you know I'm studying Architecture and going to be on placement work at that time, which is why I'm renting the room.
