Just off the Welch border lies the city of Chester, one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain which you’re welcome to walk along should you wish. Still very much in touch with its heritage with its quirky black and white architecture, town hall, cathedral and castle to boot there is certainly lots of history to soak up here with museums and galleries to give you a helping hand on making sense of it all.
But if this isn’t really your thing, fear not the town is well modernised with lots to see and do for all including the JF Polo Academy, paintballing, Chester Zoo, Muddy Good Fun outdoor activity centre and vibrant nightlife.
Studying in Chester
Chester is home to the University of Chester (go figure) which has 5 campuses in total based in both Chester and Warrington.
